Lady in White detained for participating in mass



Human rights activist and Lady in White, Lianet Gonzalez Vera was on her way to the Catholic church, which she was already a member of, to participate in mass. Nevertheless, she was detained there by the Major of State Security, Alallo, and the political police Captain, Fernando. She was taken to the detention unit and threatened by Alallo that she could not participate in mass in the church. He said that there was an official order that no Lady in White or political opponent could participate in mass. They told her that if she continued, they would be forced to take her to prison. Lianet was released the same day.
