Leodan - a human rights defender, a representative of the LGBT community in the west of Cuba and delegate of Independent and Democratic Cuba (CID) - was detained when he got out of his car on his way to his house in San Juan y Martínez after having a meeting with the defenders of Pinar del Río. The perpetrators were two policemen and a State Security Officer. He was transported in a patrol car and taken to the police unit in the same area. Here, he was registered completely, and a recording device was confiscated from him. After enduring two hours of threats, he was freed with a warning to not publish on the Internet the news of the human rights violations in Cuba.
