About 6 a.m., the human rights activist Yusmary Chacon Lamoth along with her husband Yoanny Beltran was heading to Santiago de Cuba to attend Mass. They were detained by officers of the State Security. Yusmary was arrested and taken to the police station where she remained until 10 a.m.
