Lianet detained and threatened with going to prison and taking her daughter



At 6:40 am, Lianet González Vera was heading to the province of Santiago de Cuba to participate in Sunday Mass in Santurario del Cobre to demand the release of political prisoners, the end of repression and police abuse. She was detained on the San Lino y 1 Sur street by the head of the State Security known as Bryan and taken in the patrol car no. 611 to the police station. There, she was threatened by Lieutenant Mariana with going to the prison if she continues in counterrevolutionary activities and with taking her daughter to the orphanage. She was driven more than 8 kilometers away from Guantanamo and left there around 9 am.
