Manuel was in the province of Holguín doing some journalistic works for the audiovisual project Palenque Visión. Manuel was detained around midday by unidentifed agents of the State Security and the Police because he was not from that province. The agents took him to the Police Station in the municipality of Mayarí, because allegedly he committed a crime of usurpation of functions. He was released on the 9th around midday, the agents drove him in a patrol vehicle to the outskirts of Moa and then they got him on a transport directed to Sagua de Tánamo in order to expel him of Holguín and they told him not to go back to the province, otherwise they would imprison him for other 72 hours, but in the main municipality.
