Geovanis Cepulveda Martínez, human rights activist and reporter, threatened by the police for his demonstrations against the government.

Geovanis Cepúlveda Martínez, human rights activist, member of the Eastern Democratic Alliance (ADO), reporter for the Palenque audiovisual press agency, was summoned to appear in the Versalles Police sector, where he resides in the province of Camagüey. The head of the sector in his area went to his home in the morning of the 15th with the aim of notifying him that he had to appear the next day in sector number 28 located on the second street of the Versailles neighborhood to be interviewed. Three DSE officers were waiting for him at the scene along with the head of the sector. An unidentified DSE agent told him that he had been summoned to write him a warning letter where he would promise not to go out to demonstrate against the revolutionary process or utter offenses against President Diaz-Canel, which he did not accept and did not sign. The officer also told him that, if he maintained his attitude, he would be prosecuted for pre-criminal social danger since he maintained links with antisocial elements, for demonstrating against the revolution in the streets, for putting up anti-government posters, for his political activism and journalistic work that he had been carrying out in the province.
