On 10th December 2017 at 8am, a member of the Anti-Totalitarian United Front (FANTUN) was arrested while giving testimony about the outrages he was being subjected to by officers of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) and the State Security Department of the municipality of Maisí, for preaching the word of God. The activist was arrested by PNR officers who did not explained to him the reasons for his arrest. He was under heavy interrogation by DSE officers from the same municipality. The victim stated that he was under a lot of pressure and received threats of all kinds, including death, if he continued to speak badly about the revolution and its leaders. The activist was released at 12 pm the next day after an official warning was issued for allegedly having committed the crime of incitement to rebellion.
