Human rights defender detained on the street by State Security and threatened

Miguel Ángel López Herrera was detained by a State Security official known as Perrote, when he was passing through the Emililo Giro and Máximo Goméz Street in Guantánamo. López Herrera was walking when the official, riding a motorbike, stopped next to him and told him to go to the police unit called Parque 24. The official was guarding him all the way down to the police station. When they arrived, they told him that his right to study at a university will be taken away and he will have to pay a fine 3000 pesos due to his statements for independent sources on the Internet (probably due to his interview where he spoke about difficult conditions they have in his quarter Ho Chi Ming when fighting the coronavirus). López Herrera replied that from that moment he would be on hunger strike. Eventually, he ended up with a fine 30 pesos for an alleged crime of disturbance of order which he did not commit. Then he was threatened again with a fine 3000 pesos if he continued contributing to enemy sources and released.
