At 7:30 am, an activist Kirenia García Frometa was on her way to the Patriotic Union of Cuba Headquarters (UNPACU) in Guantánamo in order to celebrate the Human Rights Day. Suddenly, a patrol car 606 drove to her and State Security official Kevin told Kirenia, that if she attended the event, she would be detained. Kirenia answered him that they were abusing her right of freedom of movement and there was no reason to not let her go. The officer told her that this is up to him and added same vulgar comments.
