The human rights activist and the coordinator of the one of the UNPACU cells, Carlos Oliva Riverí, was at the José Martí International Airport in Havana in order to travel to the United States. He was prevented from leaving the country by customs officials. A customs official informed him that he was banned from leaving the country but that they did not know the reason. Carlos was invited by the Institute of Parliamentary Studies of Venezuela to participate in a training on human rights in the city of Miami for which he possessed all the necessary documents, such as the current passport and the Visa from the embassy.
