Zenén Daniel Cruz was prevented from participating in the oral hearing of a trial, detained and fined



Zenén Daniel Cruz along with 4 other activists of the Party for the Democracy. Pedro Luis Boitel went to the Municipal Court of Colón to participate in the oral hearing of the trial against Lázaro Día Sánchez, when they were intercepted by a Major of the National Police. Luis Gustavo Sotolongo and the entourage that accompanied him prevented Zenén Daniel from reaching the Tribunal. When Zenén told him that they were violating his rights, Major Luis Gustavo Sotolongo replied: "I do what I want." and put him immediately in a patrol car 208 which took him to the police station. They gave him an official warning and a fine of 30 CUP (30 USD), according to the Decree Law 141, Article 1, Section G. He was released at 3:10 pm.
