On Sunday, 20 January 2019, when a human rights defender and a member of the Ladies in White Sissi Abascal Zamora was at the point of leaving her house in order to attend the Mass as she does it every Sunday, she was arbitrary detained by the State Security official Dayron. He prevented her from continuing towards the church and took her to the unit of the National Revolutionary Police in Carlos Rojas. There she was detained for almost two hours and then released. Before she left, she was threatened with being prosecuted if she continued with her counterrevolutionary activities with the Ladies in White.
