Ramón Olivares Abelló was going to participate in mass that is celebrated on Sundays asking for the freedom of political prisoners and rights for the Cubans. When he was walking on the street, he was arrested by Mayor Bryan, who transferred him to the operations unit, where he was threatened and beaten for his activities against the revolutionary government of Raúl Castro.
