On January 16, 2016, the victim was detained by State Security official Major Alayo together with other two police officers. They beat him and took him to the unit investigating crimes against State Security. Lt Col Giovanis Segura threatened him he would go to jail if he kept participating in Todos Marchamos campaign. The victim was given an official warning which he refused to sign.
