Activist was threatened, repressed, and her house was surrounded for activities there

In the home of the human rights defender Irina Caridad León Valladares, an activity for the Rescate Jurídico Foundation was held which celebrated the anniversary of the creation of organizations that defend human rights in Cuba. Her home was surrounded by members of the political police, and she was threatened and repressed by the State Security officer Oreste Ayala. Ayala showed up at her home and unwittingly forced the defender to end the activity since it was a provocation to the Cuban revolution. The defender did not stop the activity, and after finishing, Irina Caridad was visited by the chief of the police sector. The chief warned her that further activity would not be allowed and if she disobeyed she would be detained and sanctioned.
