At 10 am, Julia Silvia González Fundora was taking pictures by her camera on the street, when she was suddenly surprised and detained by a police officer and several officials from the Ministry of Interior. She was immediately driven to the police station where she was kept in one of the police offices. She was not issued any detention record (so called Acta de Detención) as defined by Cuban Criminal Law. Before being released, she was fined 150 pesos in CUP based on Decret-law 141 for taking pictures without authorization. The police did not return her the camera. She was released at 3:30 pm on the same day.
