On the 18th of October 2017, Mr. Miguel Caballero Lopez received a home visit from an integrated commission composed by the state development team, accompanied by two National Revolutionary Police (PNR) officers. The reason for the visit was to propose Mr. Caballero to allow the State to build several apartments in his house's land, including one for him. Mr. Caballero did not accept the proposal. The aforementioned employees informed Mr. Caballero that he should take advantage of this opportunity, as many others could only dream about it, according to them. Mr. Caballero answered that he had not asked for help and that he already had a place where to live. Moreover, he stated that he would have not allowed the construction of housing by the state in his property. The officers that accompanied the employees told the state's representatives not to waste time with these kind of people, and that Mr Caballero, as well as other visitors, were already being monitored by the State Security and the PNR. Mr. Caballero Lopéz was one of the thousands of people detained in the work camps at the beginning of the Revolution.
