An activist from Santiago de Cuba intimidated on the street by State Security official

Fernando Ginarte is a human rights activist and a member of the Eastern Democratic Alliance (ADO) in the municipality of Contramaestre in the Santiago de Cuba Province. On that day at about 10 am, he was threatened on the street by a State Security (DSE) official known as Adolfo. Ginarte was passing opposite the baseball stadium with his younger son, when the above-mentioned DSE official stopped him and obliged him to go with him to the police station. The activist replied that he would just take his son home and then he would go with him. Hearing that, the official pushed Ginarte who did the same in return. When the people in the neighborhood saw it, they started shouting at the official that he was an abuser. The environment became tense for the official and he had to leave the place.
