A man from Guantánamo detained and searched in Parque 24



Cristóbal Pérez Savon was detained by police patrol on the 8 Oeste and 2 Norte Street when he was walking home. He was then taken to the police unit known as Parque 24. There, the officials searched his bag and confiscated him 6 packages with chicken which Cristóbal had bought for a celebration of his birthday in the upcoming month. According to the victim, it is otherwise very difficult to get products like this during the unstable times the country is going through. The official was considering transporting the victim to the unit called Operations in order to investigate more where Cristóbal had bought the chicken in the current period. He was released 4 hours later and fined 8 000 pesos for an alleged crime of illegal trading.
