Adael was detained because of distribution of propaganda in favor of respect for human rights

Adael was distributing propaganda in favor of respect for human rights on the street when the policeman Miguel Romero Riveri stopped him and forced him to pick up the propaganda that fell down on the floor. Adael refused to do that. So the policeman responded by beating him so hard that it would leave sequels for whole life. Then, he was driven to the police station of Palma Soriano, where Miguel Romero Riveri gassed him wantonly with pepper gas. Then, the officer Adolfo from the DSE (Department of State Security) fined him 2000 Cuban pesos for supposed Deface of Public Adornment. Also he was threatened with going to the prison. After 2 hours, they released him and he could go for medical care. The request of medical certificate was denied to him explaining that they (referring to the dissidents) were not allowed to receive receipts.
