Juan Carlos was detained along with his two friends at the entrance to the town of Sagua la Grande coming back from Santa Clara. They were detained by the agents of the National Police and the State Security for distributing of documents of the Citizen Demand for Another Cuba in the town of Cifuentes. He was handcuffed and transferred in a patrol car to the Police Unit.
