The activist of the UNPACU Giorvis was heading to the Catholic Church to participate in Sunday Mass in support of the Ladies in White and the campaign "Todos marchamos". At 6 o'clock in the morning, he was detained at the police checkpoint by Lieutenant Colonel Cantillo, head of the political police in Caimanera, the Major Montalvo and the National Revolutionary Police. Giorvis was taken in the police car to the police unit where he remained until 10 o'clock in the morning when he was released.
