UNPACU activist summoned to Parque 24 and threatened by State Security officials

In the morning, 10 July, 2020, Rolando Mesa Benítez was summoned to the police unit Parque 24 in the city of Guantánamo. There he was received by State Security officials, Víctor and Lionis, who were about to issue him an official warning for being in touch with "counter-revolutionary elements". Mr. Mesa reacted by saying that he was not obliged to follow their orders and certainly not the ones which violates his rights. Then official Lionis replied: "We will send you to the prison if you kept visiting the people you know and who are just misusing you. The revolution cannot be destroyed by anyone and we will have to use all the measures possible in order to defend it. Tell it to the others." This official is well-known on the social media for beating and repressing activists in the whole country.
