Lady in White from Jovellanos summoned and threatened for having participated in a protest

On 10 November 2020, at 1 pm, a police chief appeared in the house of Annia Zamora Carmenate in order hand her over a summons for the police station in the municipality of Jovellanos for 3 pm. During the interrogation, police officials wanted to know details about a rally which had taken place in the Carlos Rojas Park. Annia had participated in the event along with her daughter Sissi as well as many other citizens who had been supporting the protest. The officials wanted to accuse Annia of instigating people to get together for the protest. She was also threatened with imprisonment. When she was already about to leave the police station, one of the official gave her a receipt with a fine amounting 2000 pesos based on the Decree-Law 310.
