Lady in White intimidated by police for having participated in a rally in Jovellanos

On 10 November 2020, at 1 pm, a police chief appeared in the house of Sissi Abascal Zamora in order hand her over a summons for the police station in the municipality of Jovellanos for 3 pm. During the interrogation with Sissi, police officials wanted to know details about a rally which had taken place in the Carlos Rojas Park. Sissi had participated in the event along with her mother Annia Zamora Carmenate as well as many other citizens who had been supporting the protest. The officials wanted to accuse Sissi of instigating people to gather for the protest. She was also threatened with imprisonment. When she was already about to leave the police station, one of the official gave her a receipt with a fine amounting 2000 pesos based on the Decree-Law 310.
