Nair threatened with expulsion from university due to her relation with a counter-revolutionist

The State Security Captain Juan Pérez Puentes, accompanied by the Officer of the Ideological Unit and the University Director, threatened for the second time Nair, who is a student of Medicine at the University of Medical Sciences of Pinar del Río. She was taken out from her Gynecology class to tell her that she had to be interrogated by the State Security Officers. Despite being in the fourth year and having excellent grades, she was threatened once more telling her that her career was in danger because of her relation and cohabiting with a counter-revolutionist. She was told that they would not allow this relation and that if she continued with him, she would see the bad consequences. These threats caused a huge stress and frustration to Nair for not having the right of choosing her friends or relationship for the simple reason of thinking and expressing freely.
