On October 11, 2015, Luis Enrrique Martinez Peguero, human rights activist, was participating in event organized by Ladies in White, Santa Rita Church. It was the "Todos marchamos" campaign, which demands the amnesty for political prisoners. Suddenly, he was arrested, handcuffed and taken to the police station. He had to stay there from 1:00 pm to 7:00 pm, while he was threatened that if he participated in any other human rights activity in Havana, he would be prosecuted for disobedience.
Luis Enrrique Martínez Peguero is human rights activist from the year 2012 and he is active member of Partido por la Unión Democrática Cristiana de Cuba (PUDCC). In the past, he has been victim of pursuing, repression and aggression.
