Activist from Guantánamo prevented from attending a protest

Rolando Rodríguez Lobaina, a human rights activist from the Eastern Democratic Alliance in Guantánamo, was forced to stay at home due to a patrol car standing in front of his house. The goal of the patrol was to prevent him from attending an event called the Sunflower Revolution which was aiming at gathering people in parks in their neighborhoods and bringing a sunflower as a symbol of protest. Rolando's house was surrounded and monitored by the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) together with the State Security (DSE). The officers left the place when the event was over.
