Prison Camp Plan Confianza is overcrowded, without water, medicines and with water leaks in the roofs.

Eldris, an activist of the Eastern Democratic Alliance (ADO), who since 2021 has been held in the Plan Confianza work camp, extinguishing a 3-year prison sentence for the alleged crimes of contempt, disobedience and attempt. The Plan Confianza camp does not have the required conditions to hold people. In this penitentiary center the inmates are in total overcrowding, where there is capacity for 400 inmates, there are about 485 inmates, so several of them are forced to sleep with mattresses on the floor. The roof leaks, so that in times of rain the inmates get wet; they have no water to drink because the water supply networks have broken down, so they have to carry water with tanker trucks. Medical assistance is poor, there is no medicine for the slightest ailment and to take an inmate to the medical post they have to protest. Something similar happens with the appointments with specialists, they do not keep a sequence for the inmates who need these specialized consultations and to take the inmates to them they have to complain. Eldris is in ward C on the 5th floor of the Saturnino Lora hospital because he is in crisis with his illness, Ankylosing Spondylitis, a disease he has suffered from since he was 18 years old, because he has not been given his medication, Metrotexatil, for about three months.
