A human rights defender summoned to Parque 24 and threatened by State Security

On 12 March 2021, in the early morning hours, Bartolo Cantilo Romero was summoned before the sector police chief to the police unit Parque 24. When he arrived, there was State Security official Víctor present and announced him that he would be prosecuted under the law on dangerousness. The official was giving him groundless reasons such as meeting with counterrevolutionary elements, going out until late night hours and using his house for conspiring on behalf of José Daniel Ferrer García. The official also told him that he should collaborate with them otherwise he would be imprisoned for those activities. The victim did not sign any document and explained that he was just defending human rights and he would never betray anybody.
