UNPACU activist detained when heading for Mass

Bartolo was on his way to the Santa Catalina de Ricci Church in order to attend Sunday Mass. He was carrying a transparent asking for the release of all political prisoners. When he was passing through Los Maceos Street and Camilo Cienfuegos Avenue, he was stopped by State Security officials known as Víctor Víctor and Luis Ángel or Roberto, and detained. He was taken to the police station in the municipality of El Salvador. There, he was told that in case he continued with his human rights activities, he would be imprisoned again. He was released at about 10 am on the next day without any further consequences.
