On 18 February, the activist Yarmila Díaz was summoned for the next day to the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) in the province of Pinar del Río. The objective of the meeting was to advise her against undertaking any journey outside the country, already anticipating that her travel status was regulated at the migration office as the activist had been invited to participate in a civic meeting in Argentina. Lieutenant Colonel Beunes and Ayala strongly discouraged her against continuing with her counter-revolutionary activities, because the consequences would be each day worse and worse. After four hours of the interrogation and threats, the activist was finally released.
