At 4:20 pm, Eglits Guilarte Aranda, along with his wife, was attacked by a police officer when they were on their way to the Mass. He was riding a bicycle with his wife, Lady in White Yudaxis Pérez Meneses, sitting behind, when a political police officer known as Yaramís, drove at them with his Lada car. Guilarte Aranda had to maneuver to avoid a direct crash. Yaramís immediately told them that they were detained and took them by his Lada car to the Police Department in Colón. When they arrived, Guilarte Aranda was put in a prison cell without having received the detention record (so called Acta de Detención) as defined by the Cuban Criminal Law. Before being released, he was fined 150 pesos in CUP based on Decree-law 141.
