On June 15, 2018, political police officer Alfredo Oliveros, officers of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) from the rural area of Midelsi Duran Campo, and Lieutenant Feyo Nicle Hernández visited the house of activist Rodneidy Leyva Sala, to arrest him because he had allegedly sold a piece of land from his farm to a person they considered disaffected with the revolution, without permission from the entities that, according to them, are in charge of authorizing the sale of the land. The inspectors who accompanied the officials to the activist's home imposed a fine of $1,500 Cuban pesos (48.34 euros), and also arrested and took the activist to the unit of the National Revolutionary Police (PNR), where he remained for more than 72 hours under intense interrogation by Lieutenant Colonel Lennier Leiva of the Department of State Security (DSE), since he wanted to know the reason why the activist had allowed a house to be built on his farm in a clandestine manner. Rodneidy responded that he was the owner of his land, that the State had not given it to his family, that this land was an inheritance from before the revolution and that therefore he did not have to ask anyone's permission to give a piece of land to a brother to make his house because as he had previously said this land belonged to him and not to the State. The victim claimed that he donated a portion of his land to an activist who had no place to live and made it clear that no money was involved.
