Bail and imprisonment for protest



José Antonio Pompa López, held a protest at the capitol on May 25, 2016. He was arrested for public disorder, was in provisional detention for 5 months. Finally his sentence was changed to payment of cash bail for 1000 CUP. Subsequently, he was tried and sentenced to 2 years and 6 months for the crime of public disorder that had expired on March 21, 2019. On March 23, 2019 he was arrested and sentenced to 9 months for unlawful associations, when he was on his way to an activity of his organization. He was released on December 21, 2019.
