Karla Peréz González has been expelled from the University of Las Villas in Santa Clara where she was passing her first year of Journalism. The reasons for the expulsion were her comments on facebook and writing at the blog of Somos +, a new opposition group, with the pseudonym of Oriana. On April 11, she attended the voting in which eight classmates asked her to leave the university and six were against her expulsion. She was accused of "manipulating her friends and having taken from the beginning of the course a strategy to subvert the youngsters around her." The vice president of the University Student Federation of her faculty stood in front of the classroom and said: "She is a bad person and she deceived us." Due to the spread of her case on Internet, University Latina and San Judas University, Costa Rica, decided to offer her a place there to be able to continue her studies.
