Activist was arrested on his way to a meeting about human rights

Around 5 am, the UNPACU activist Bartolo Cantillo Romero was on his way to the UNPACU headquarters in Santiago de Cuba, where he was going to participate in a training on human rights. He was detained by the State Security Mayor Bryan Arturo and the political police and taken in a patrol car to the Police Unit of El Salvador. There he was threatened with imprisonment if he remained in the opposition. When Bartolo showed that he preferred to go to prison rather than leave the opposition, he was taken to a cell. He was released at 8 pm on the same day.
