An activist from Camagüey threatened for his work

Geovanis Cepúlveda Martínez is an independent journalist from the Palenque Vision Agency based in the province of Camagüey. He received a phone call from the sector police chief from his neighborhood who summoned him to the 3rd Police Unit in the same province. At the police station, the sector chief, without identifying himself until that moment, told Geovanis that he had been instructed by the State Security (DSE) to interrogate him due to his work in the field of human rights and independent journalism. The official threatened him that if he did not stop these activities, he would let him disappear.
