On the 9th of September 2019 the State's Security officials Alfredo Oliveros, Antonio Rodríguez and the lieutenant colonel Liesner Leiva with the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) officers Gianni Clape Rodriguez y Feyo Nicle appeared at the house of the activist Alberto Lavato Soa with a detention order. When the latter saw them asked what he could help them with. In that very moment, the police officers were ordered to detain and accompany him to the police station. The activist asked if anything had happened, and the police state's security officers answered that the reason for his detention was going to be communicated at the police station. When they got there, the PNR officers told him that he was being detained becuase he was allegedly identified as the author of a series of anti-governmental signs recently appeared written in several areas of the city and that they had information that he was the responsible for those writings. For this reason, the activist was going to be prosecuted before a court for enemy propaganda. After having been detained for more than twenty-four hours, sanctioned with a lump sum of money and with a warning for enemy propaganda and damages to property, he was set free.
