An activist prohibited from attending Mass



In the early morning, Celina Osoria Claro, a human rights activist and a member of the Ladies in White, was heading to the church to attend Mass. On the corner of her house, she was stopped by State Security and two political police officers. She was detained, handcuffed and driven to the detention center known as Parque 24. She was threatened with jail and prohibited from attending Mass, otherwise she would be fined. She was also told that she is not allowed to host meetings and capacity-building trainings in her house. She was released at 12 pm.
