A human rights activist from the Cuban Patriotic Union (UNPACU), Miguel Ángel López Herrera, has been on a hunger strike since 23 July, 2020. On that day, he had been detained by the secret police in Guantánamo. Moreover, the police confiscated him 30 CUC, and left him completely naked on the national highway, 10 kilometres away from the city of Guantánamo. Currently, his health is deteriorating due to the long hunger strike lasting already 22 days. Miguel Ángel López Herrera demands his clothes and money back and insists on being publicly exonerated due to the violations committed on him.
