A citizen is prevented from attending a march using threats and the surveillance mechanism.

Yeris Cúrvelo Aguilera, a reporter for the audiovisual agency Palenque Visión, was summoned to appear at the Caimanera police station to be interviewed. At the police station, he was interrogated by three State Security officers, Captain Reyes, a policeman named Abraham and the name of the third officer is unknown. Also present with them was the sector chief of his zone, Captain Juan Carlo Dupuig Frómeta. The captains told Mr. Yeris that his behavior was inciting the population to protest against the government and to carry out acts that could violate social order. In addition, they ordered him to stay at home and not to go out into the streets for the march. He was threatened that he would be beaten and taken to prison if he left his house. For the rest of the day he was guarded by State Security officers, which is why he could not go out on the streets.
