Lady in White prohibited from leaving the country by the Ministry of the Interior

On 26 March, 2018, a human rights defender and a Lady in White, Sissi Abascal Zamora, was about to travel to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and attend an event dedicated to the human rights. However, the migration authorities at the José Martí International Airport, Terminal 3, in Havana prevented her from boarding her flight, because, as they informed her, she had been banned from leaving the country based on the order coming from the Ministry of the Interior.
