Ivan Rubio Fabre is an activist, a member of the UNPACU, who is currently in prison. There, they took him 40 packs of cigarettes even though it is legal to have it inside the prison. For this reason, he unsuccessfully protested and demanded his cigarettes back. When he started shouting anti-government slogans, they started to beat him and he subjected to a fairly common torture method known as "shakira" or "rocker" consisting of a chain with handcuffs on each end. The handcuffs are put on the hands and the other on the feet and then, they put it together almost that the hands and feet come together. Prisoners are only supported on the floor by their thoracic cavity. He had to remain in these conditions for several hours. Ivan is right now in the detachment 2A of the combined Guantanamo prison and is imprisoned for 3 years and 2 months for the crime of theft of a cell phone which pleaded not guilty.
