Leonides Arias prevented from traveling to Santiago de Cuba



Leonides Machandi Arias was arrested at the police checkpoint on the road to Santiago de Cuba. He was traveling in a bus to the province of Santiago de Cuba, when the Lieutenant of the State Security called Gilbert, along with another officer of the State Security and police from the checkpoint stopped the bus and, without any reason, ordered to Leinides get off the bus. He was told that he could not travel in those days. When Leonides Machandi tried to complain, he was pushed and threatened that he would be accused of resistance. He was pushed to the police car number 673, handcuffed and taken to the Operations Center of the State Security. He was released after 5 hours.
