An activist from the Patriotic Union of Cuba (UNPACU) was persecuted by one of the members of the rapid response brigades because the activist was supposed to distribute printed matter on the street where he lives. The activist's home was under surveillance all day and night, by members of the rapid response brigades, by the State Security Department (DSE) and National Revolutionary Police (PNR) officers, the latter of whom were ensuring that no one left the activist's home. In the morning hours of the next day, the PNR officers and DSE officer Neuri Durán Pajan and PNR Captain Gianny Clape Rodríguez showed up at the activist's house to advise him not to go out and carry out any provocation because they were not going to allow him to do so, and that if they did go out they would have to abide by the consequences, and that he had already been warned about.
