The victim was deprived of his liberty in the Combinado del Este, where he was a passerby and collaborated with 11J demonstrators, for this reason he was transferred to the provincial prison of Guantánamo. There, he was locked up with three other inmates, who beat him up and when he returned from the hospital, his belongings had disappeared. The prisoner protested against the theft of his belongings, so Major Eddie Ramirez ordered that he be locked up in a room used for torture, known as the "psychiatric ward". This is a room with five beds fixed to the floor and infested with bedbugs. The victim was handcuffed, in his underwear, hand and foot for 5 days, during which time he received no food or water, defecated and urinated on himself.
