Yadisley Rodríguez Ramírez left her house along with her husband in order to prepare audiovisual reports for an independent project the Palenque Visión. Before she was able to get to the place where she was supposed to make the video, two State Security (DSE) officials together with two policemen who did not identify themselves, detained her. She was then taken to the third police unit. There the officials told her that they knew she was about to prepare the videos, because an activist Rolando Rodríguez Lobaina had visited the province and they supposed she would do that. They confiscated her cell phone and a microphone. She was threatened with imprisonment and taking away her parental rights over her three minor children due to her alleged inability to raise and educate them properly. She was then given two official warnings. The first one for publishing information on the social media and the second one for misusing her journalistic profession since she allegedly does not posses the necessary credentials to practice her journalistic work. She was released approximately four hours later after her detention without any further consequences.
