Eider Frometa Allen was summoned to the police unit known as Parque 24 on 17 December 2018. He went to the State Security Headquarters (DSE) known as "Lili Modas" and asked about the summons and the officials told him that there was no problem. Later on, he was summoned again for 19 December to the same police unit. When Eider arrived, the official he was supposed to see was not present. He waited for him for about three hours without success. At the same time, the official who is also the sector chief, was at home and told him to come on the next day. When Eidier arrived on 20 December, he was told that the sector chief is on vacation so he could not see him. On 17 January 2019, Eider was detained and taken to the Parque 24. There he was accused of disobedience because he had not arrived for the summons. On 23 January, a summary trial was carried out, without a lawyer, not even ex officio, in the Municipal Court of Guantánamo and Eider was sentenced to one year in jail. Few days later he was transported to the provincial prison.
