Since January 5, 2016, several inspector groups from the Physical Planning and the Municipal Housing Department have come to the home of Einer Gainza Díaz, in the city of Baracoa, where he lives with his wife and 4-year-old daughter. Gainza Díaz has received eviction threats from the Housing Department inspectors, after making the established requests for these constructions on vacant land, who have also ordered him to destroy his house that he has built with his own effort. In addition, Einer denounces that they have also cut off his electricity service, forcing him to cook and light his home with rechargeable lamps and by artisanal means. Einer has sought help from the relevant state establishments to prevent the eviction; However, he has not received a concrete answer, only that his case is being analyzed, so he feels unprotected by the law.
